Powerful biblical affirmations for the morning

We can all agree that speaking life, positivity and good things, such as affirmations or declarations over yourself is beneficial to you.

If however, you’re uncertain about affirmations or want to learn more, then have a look at this post we wrote in more depth about biblical affirmations.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21), and your words carry the power to create, build, encourage and also destroy.

Here’s the thing though.

I don’t always wake up on the proverbial ‘right side of the bed’ in the mornings and if left to my own (selfish) devices it can be easy to just adapt to the temperature of my circumstances, the news, and work.

Instead as Christians, we should be Spiritual Thermostats. Those that set the spiritual atmosphere and temperature rather than just being affected by it.

In the midst of a world that demands our time, energy, and resources. It’s important critical that we set ourselves up for success each day in order to thrive and not merely survive.

Set Yourself Up For Success (& Have Grace)

We have 2 (almost 3) young kids all under 5 and when they come charging in at 6 am or earlier, starting the day with positive affirmations feels so far from what we’re experiencing in the moment.

Life gets busy, there are things to sort out and before you know it the day has gone and you’re getting ready for bed.

There are, however things we do individually and as a family to make room in our schedules to speak life, truth, and hope into our life.

How do you do positive Christian affirmations?

What works for one, will not work for another.

During the day I (Josh) will sometimes set reminders that pop up with a declaration or affirmation.

I might take 5 minutes before my first call of the day to speak biblical truths and God’s heart over my life.

We as a family sit at the breakfast table together and have a set of affirmations and declarations on the wall that (when we remember) we intentionally speak together in the morning.

Starting the day by recentering on God and declaring and affirming who He says you are is a ‘super hack’ to set yourself up for breakthroughs, opportunities and encounters.

Positive Christian Affirmations To Start Your Day

  1. I am enough.
  2. I have what it takes and I can do difficult things.
  3. God has set me up with moments to encounter His presence today.
  4. The peace of God is increasing daily in my life and I’m a good steward of it.
  5. There are new opportunities for me today.
  6. God has amazing plans for my life.
  7. God hasn’t forgotten me or left me behind, He knows exactly where I am and I’m at the forefront of his mind.
  8. Today is a good day for a good day.
  9. Everywhere I go people experience an increase of God’s presence
  10. God ALWAYS shows up!

Affirmations are beautiful, powerful and easy to get in the flow of once you start.

It might feel a little ‘forced’ at first if you’ve never done it before. But it will soon be like second nature.

The key is to remind yourself and others that you are cherished, loved, and valuable and that God is for you.

From that place of identity and assurance, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

Bless you and may today be your best day yet!
